I HAVE AN IMPORTANT EVENT COMING. I WANT MAKEUP FOR MY HEADSHOTS. HOW DO I BOOK JANICE?
It’s simple, go to the Contact page. Scroll down to the Google calendar. Find your date and if the tile is blank then go ahead and send that email to kick-start the conversation.
HOW DO I LOCK IN MY DATE?
Janice will secure your booking and block it her calendar as soon as you have proceeded with a 50% retainer (non-refundable) of the total service charge. The full balance will need to be settled 7 Days before the booking date.
HOW MUCH DOES JANICE CHARGE FOR HER MAKEUP SERVICES?
Janice is available for a range of bookings, from editorial shoots to brides. Contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org or 860-309-1341 to discuss a quotation.
CAN I ARRANGE A CONSULTATION WITH JANICE?
Sure! Once your retainer is paid, Janice can do a telephone consultation or if it works better for you to meet for a coffee, that is also an option. Please note the Client must cover any expenses for face-to-face consultations.
ARE THE RATES INCLUSIVE OF TRAVEL?
Travel cost is not inclusive of quotes for bookings outside Litchfield County, CT. When emailing, please ensure you provide the full address for a more accurate price.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL/AMEND MY BOOKING?
These things can happen, so don't worry - you can cancel/amend your booking by sending an email to email@example.com. Please note, however, all retainers are non-refundable and Janice will be under no obligation to refund any payment received on cancellation. In the unlikely event that Janice is unable to make your booking appointment due to an emergency, you will be offered an alternative Makeup Artist recommended by Janice or a full refund.
I’M A BRIDE-TO-BE. CAN I BOOK FOR MY BRIDESMAIDS TOO?
Janice accepts a maximum of 2 bridesmaids’ bookings for Clients also booking for the bride. At this time, Janice cannot accept bridesmaid-only bookings. If you have more than 2 bridesmaids in need of makeup on the big day, the rest can be done by Janice professionally trained assistant.
I WOULD LOVE TO LEARN HOW TO DO MAKE-UP LIKE JANICE. HOW CAN I LEARN?
Janice offers 1:1 teaching which you can book by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
DO YOU HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY?
Yes. Janice reserves the right to refuse work if a client, event vendor, shoot staff, friend or family member is unnecessarily abusive or threatening in any way to Janice or her team. Unfortunately, no refunds will be offered when these types of incidents occur.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
By making payment, Client hereby agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.
1.A date cannot be held without a retainer fee and the requested date will still be open to other inquiries.
2. Bookings are only secured with a retainer payment.
3. Booking is 50% of the total Service charge and is non-refundable. Full balance payment is required 7 days to the wedding date.
4. Failure to make payments within the agreed time frame, may result in the cancellation of your booking.

All changes to a booking, must be made by the bride only.
Payments for work that has already been carried out is non-refundable.
Additional services can only be accepted if time/resources allow and reductions made after this time will still be payable in full.
If you need to postpone or change the date of your booking for reasons that are unforeseen/not in your control or for any other reason. Janice Luise will allow for one date change only (subject to availability). Thereafter a new booking with a retainer payment would be required.
In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your booking completely:
Cancelling within 3 months of the agreed wedding date = 50% of the remaining balance is still due by the original due date.
Cancelling 1 month or less to the wedding date = 100% of the balance is still due by the original due date.
Personal Emergency - In the Unlikely event that Ms. Luise is unable to make your wedding appointment due to a personal emergency, act of god or severe illness Ms. Luise will try to find you an alternative makeup artist who she highly recommends or a refund of 100% of costs already paid by the client.
What is Needed- To carry out work efficiently Janice Luise will need as a minimum of; a table/flat surface to set up on and chair (preferably a High chair/Bar stool) to carry out services.
Set Up and Pack Up - 15 minutes is allotted to set up and be ready in time to start services. If suitable conditions are not provided delays cannot be held responsible for if time is lost due to this. 15 minutes is also allotted for packing up.
Makeup Duration – 90 mins after Setup, preferably after hair has been completed or hair prep finished.
Hair Prep- Janice Luise will not be held responsible if the hair products/hair used on you messes up the makeup. This is why Makeup is best applied after hair has been completed or at most.
Right of Refusal - Janice Luise reserves the right to refuse to work if a client, family member, bridal party or friend is rude, aggressive, upsetting or abusive in any way. Unfortunately, no refunds will be made to the client if this occurs.
An approximate charge is given, if there’s a price increase with Travel services, this will be fed back to the client for reimbursements.
Early morning bookings where Ms. Luise has to start before 7am, a surcharge will be charged.
Accommodation close to your wedding venue may be required for the night before the wedding if the journey time is over 2 hours one way, the start time is 6am or earlier, or there are other foreseeable events/delays.
